American Legion Auxillary


In this world of ours, The American Legion Auxiliary shines as an example of unselfish giving. With almost a million members from all walks of life, the Auxiliary administers hundreds of volunteer programs, gives tens of thousands of hours to its communities and to veterans, and raises millions of dollars to support its own programs as well as other worthwhile charities familiar to most Americans. It is all accomplished with volunteers.

Eligibility

  • A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary.
  • The mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great-grand-daughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras.
  • Step relatives are also eligible.

American Legion Auxiliary Mission

  • To support The American Legion and its programs for veterans, young people and community.
  • To provide for today's needs while being advocates for a brighter future.
  • To advance Understanding of patriotism and responsibility of citizenship.
  • To ensure, as volunteers, the Auxiliary members continue to promote all that is good in the nation today, tomorrow and for generations to come through serving others first and not self.

American Legion Auxiliary Purpose

Associate with The American Legion and support the work of the world's largest veteran's organization.
Uphold the law of the land and defend the principles of democracy.
X-plain and guard the basic freedoms of religioun and expression.
Instill a sense of obligation to the community state and nation.
Leaders in education for young people.
Implement numerous efforts and programs to assist families and children across the nation.
Assist our nation's veterans through legislation, funding and volunteerism.
Raise awareness of patriotism and devotion to country.
Year-round participation and dedication to service, not self.
